Cyclothon 2020
As part of SAKSHAM 2020, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) organised a Cyclothon to pedal towards a Greener Tomorrow. Over 3000 cycle enthusiasts from various parts of the city participated in the cyclothon that started at the CPCL Polytechnic College, Manali, covering a distance of 10-km rally and ended at CPCL Polytechnic College, whereas the 5-km rally was a one-way trip.Shri S.N.Pandey, Managing Director, CPCL, flagged off the first batch of Cycle ride at 7 a.m. Subsequent batches of cyclists were flagged off by Shri G.Aravindan, Director (Operations), Shri Rajeev Ailawadi, Director (Finance), Shri R.Srikanthan, Director (Technical) and Shri J.T.Venkateswarlu, Chief Vigilance Officer of CPCL.
Eminent Sportspersons and celebrities from film and TV graced the occasion. Dr. Arathi Arun, Gold medallist powerlifting champion, Ms.Vilassini Sunder, Junior National Gold medalist in swimming and International Surfer, Film Actors Nakul, Abhishek Vinod, Samyuktha Karthik and Sruti Nakul, joined the flagging off and also lead the cycling event.
